POWER, STRENGTH, SPEED, TOUGHNESS

Psycho Gym offers sports performance training for goal-oriented, results-driven athletes.

Elite athletes share the same characteristics: confidence, mental toughness, and
work ethic. At Psycho Gym, these characteristics will be tested, nurtured, and
locked in for success. Dedicated athletes are able to transfer these characteristics
from the playing field into their daily lives, whether that be in a classroom or a
board room.

The Benefits of Psycho Gym Sports Performance Program

Psycho Gym’s Athletic Development Program is built on research, experience, and passionate coaching that will take teams and individuals to unmatched levels of Success. Our education-based approach goes well beyond mere athletic skill. The accountability, integrity, and character that are the foundation of Psycho Gym’s programs help shape youth into active, happy, pain-free adults. It is our mission that the programs we partner with have every resource available to create excellence.

Sports are more competitive now than ever and injuries are more common and severe than ever before. Our athletes need to have specific training that will prepare them for their sport.

We are not only coaches, we are mentors who help young athletes learn to succeed, work hard, and compete.

We are the gateway to their health and safety. Our main focus is injury prevention.

Higher, more intensive levels of competition are approaching rapidly, and athletes need to be prepared for this accordingly.

We help students build confidence, accountability, sportsmanship, commitment, honor, dedication, and install a work ethic that carries over to all aspects of life.

Athletes need to build a solid athletic foundation now that will pay huge dividends down the road.

Our Program covers an array of skill sets that is guaranteed to improve performance.

• SPEED – Acceleration, Deceleration, Linear and Lateral Movement Techniques, Running Mechanics, Footwork
• EXPLOSIVE POWER – Kettlebells, Plyometrics, Rotational & Vertical Power, Jumping & Landing Techniques
• STRENGTH – Functional Approach, Thorough Instruction, Focus on Upper Body, Lower Body & Core Exercises

Strength training for kids is not to be confused with competitive weightlifting, bodybuilding or power-lifting. Instead, the focus is on moderate weights and controlled movements, with a special emphasis on proper technique and safety. This doesn’t require access to expensive exercise machines either, as children can build muscular strength using kettlebells, resistance bands, and body weight exercises. Recent research indicates that strength gains of roughly 30% to 50% are possible for youth during childhood and adolescence following short-term (8-12 weeks) training programs.

Potential Benefits of Youth Resistance Training
In addition to enhancing muscular strength and local muscular endurance, regular participation in a youth resistance training program has the potential to influence several other aspects of health and fitness.

• Enhance sports performance
• Increase muscle strength
• Increase muscular power
• Increase local muscular endurance
• Improve body composition
• Increase bone mineral density
• Increase cardio-respiratory fitness
• Improve motor performance skills
• Increase resistance to injury
• Enhance mental health and well-being
• Stimulate a more positive attitude towards lifetime physical activity

This Can Not be a Quick Fix – Camps are ok, but you need long term programs. Sport performance training and youth fitness cannot occur optimally in such a short amount of time. It’s just like school. You couldn’t complete 2nd Grade in 3 weeks and you couldn’t obtain a Master’s Degree before you go through high school and earn a Bachelors degree. Training for optimal performance in sport and life is a process. The most effective gains that guarantee success and dramatically reduce the risk of injury are based on learning specific fitness skills, perfecting them over time, and then building on them systematically.

Our Program – No matter if you train with us 1 day/ week or 5 days/ week you will get great results. The more contact we have with our athletes the better results they will obtain. The choice and level of participation is up to you, depending on the results you are seeking.

Train how the pros train – Lance Armstrong, The Tennessee Titans, Boston Celtics, and MMA Great Fedor Emelianenko are just a few pro athletes that are seeing the benefits of kettlebell training.

“In football it’s so much about being tough and not giving up and that’s what the kettlebell workout is all about —Kyle Vanden Bosch 3x NFL Pro Bowl selection (2005, 2007, 2009)

Psycho Gym Sport Performance Training will give athletes the competitive edge not only to thrive, but to dominate in their sport.
